1st Grade English Enrichment Classes

Kindergarten 2nd Grade

Begin the love of learning.

A Grade Ahead’s 1st grade English enrichment classes help students to begin reading and writing with ease. Students become familiar with phonics and sight words to improve their reading fluency and comprehension skills. They also learn basic grammar and sentence structure to develop sentence writing skills. Additionally, students practice comprehension and writing skills with short stories that are aligned with a vocabulary list. Students will enhance language arts skills such as:

  • Parts of speech
  • Sentence writing
  • Reading and comprehension skills

1st grade English materials include exercises focusing on vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension.
